DESANDAS: A COLLABORATIVE DOCUMENTARY PROJECT



SUMMARY

A collaborative documentary is an audiovisual piece made from the clips sent by its own protagonists. A priori there is no script but rather an objective of what you want to development and  tell. The idea of ​​ collaborative documentary emerges with the so-called Arab Spring when through the action swarm of facebook users, the activation of massive street protests and the transmission of them almost directly to the whole world was achieved. This caused a "spontaneous" revolution that led to a change of leadership in the leadership of a state like the Egyptian, led for an exaggerated number of years by the same man. The DESANDAS project is part of this quest for organized and anonymous collective communication: it was never about well-edited videos. Quite the contrary: small loose videos where you see the day to day of what Venezuelans go through daily in the middle of the economic and institutional crisis that oppresses us and subjugates. Media schools teach to fear because they are traditionally considered as places where beings without light come to "receive" knowledge from individual biases that respond to programs of state domination. This is contrary to the nature of art -or as I prefer to call it, creative work-. Education is an essentially social phenomenon since it is the social being that determines the individual conscience. The collaborative documentary is a response to the incongruities within the global educational phenomenon and can become a psycho-social learning technique that leads to the liberation of the powers of the human mind. In addition, collaborative document management is becoming increasingly important in the business sector: it promotes innovation using open standards and reusing other free software projects; it has greater flexibility and allows integration with third-party solutions; it is not dependent on a single platform; it protects users from the risks and disadvantages of the solutions of suppliers and executive producers who depend on the capitalist industry that subjects humanity. The collaborative documentary shortens the distance between the story and the viewer basically because it comes from the same spectator, that is, from the same protagonist. Thus, the relation between work, spectator(s) and author is from 1 to 0. Multiple visions. Multiple solutions. Multiverse. The project also proposes the realization of school projects, through the help of guidance documents, teachers can recreate the experience: stories of old people with their group of students, investigate the memories of their elders, find relationships, discuss and organize, and share it for free online.
