DESANDAS: A COLLABORATIVE DOCUMENTARY PROJECT

SUMMARY

A collaborative documentary is an audiovisual piece made from the clips sent by its own protagonists. A priori there is no script but rather an objective of what you want to development and  tell. The idea of ​​ collaborative documentary emerges with the so-called Arab Spring when through the action swarm of facebook users, the activation of massive street protests and the transmission of them almost directly to the whole world was achieved. This caused a "spontaneous" revolution that led to a change of leadership in the leadership of a state like the Egyptian, led for an exaggerated number of years by the same man. The DESANDAS project is part of this quest for organized and anonymous collective communication: it was never about well-edited videos. Quite the contrary: small loose videos where you see the day to day of what Venezuelans go through daily in the middle of the economic and institutional crisis that oppresses us and subjugates. Media schools teach to fear because they are traditionally considered as places where beings without light come to "receive" knowledge from individual biases that respond to programs of state domination. This is contrary to the nature of art -or as I prefer to call it, creative work-. Education is an essentially social phenomenon since it is the social being that determines the individual conscience. The collaborative documentary is a response to the incongruities within the global educational phenomenon and can become a psycho-social learning technique that leads to the liberation of the powers of the human mind. In addition, collaborative document management is becoming increasingly important in the business sector: it promotes innovation using open standards and reusing other free software projects; it has greater flexibility and allows integration with third-party solutions; it is not dependent on a single platform; it protects users from the risks and disadvantages of the solutions of suppliers and executive producers who depend on the capitalist industry that subjects humanity. The collaborative documentary shortens the distance between the story and the viewer basically because it comes from the same spectator, that is, from the same protagonist. Thus, the relation between work, spectator(s) and author is from 1 to 0. Multiple visions. Multiple solutions. Multiverse. The project also proposes the realization of school projects, through the help of guidance documents, teachers can recreate the experience: stories of old people with their group of students, investigate the memories of their elders, find relationships, discuss and organize, and share it for free online.

DESANDAS: UN PROYECTO DOCUMENTAL COLABORATIVO

RESUMEN

Un documental colaborativo es una pieza audiovisual realizada a partir de los clips enviados por sus propios protagonistas. No hay guión a priori sino más bien un objetivo  a desarrollar y contar. La idea de documental colaborativo surge con la llamada primavera árabe cuando a través de la acción enjambre de usuarios  de facebook se logró la activación de protestas masivas de calle y la transmisión de las mismas casi en directo a todo el mundo. Esto provocó una revolución "espontánea" que llevó a un cambió de directiva en la jefatura de un estado como el egipcio, liderado durante una cantidad exagerada de años por un mismo hombre. El proyecto DESANDAS se enmarca en esta búsqueda de comunicación colectiva organizada y acéfala: no se trató nunca de videos bien editados. Todo lo contrario: pequeños videos sueltos donde se vea el día a día de lo que los venezolanos atraviesan a diario en medio de la crisis económica e institucional que nos oprime y subyuga. Las escuelas de medios enseñan a temer porque se les considera tradicionalmente como lugares donde seres sin luz acuden para "recibir" conocimientos desde sesgos individuales que responden a programas de dominación estatal. Esto es contrario a la naturaleza del arte -o como prefiero llamarlo, trabajo creativo-. La educación es un fenómeno esencialmente social puesto que es el ser social el que determina la conciencia individual. El documental colaborativo es una respuesta a las incongruencias dentro del fenómeno educativo global y puede convertirse en una técnica psicosocial de aprendizaje que conduzca a la liberación de los poderes de la mente humana. Además, la realización documental colaborativa está siendo cada vez más importante en el sector empresarial: potencia la innovación utilizando estándares abiertos y reutilizando otros proyectos de software libre; tiene una mayor flexibilidad y permite la integración con soluciones de terceros; no es dependiente de una única plataforma; protege a los usuarios de los riesgos y desventajas de las soluciones de proveedores y productores ejecutivos que dependen de la industria capitalista que somete a la humanidad. El documental colaborativo acorta la distancia que existe entre la historia y el espectador básicamente porque esta viene de la mano del mismo, es decir, del espectador testigo y protagonista. Así, la relación entre obra, espectador(es) y autor es de 1 a 0. Múltiples visiones. Múltiples soluciones. Multiversos. El proyecto propone también la realización de proyectos escolares, mediante la ayuda de documentos guía: los maestros y profesores pueden recrear la experiencia: cuentos de viejos con su grupo de estudiantes, investigar los recuerdos de sus mayores, encontrar relaciones, discutir y organizar, y compartirlo gratuitamente online.
